Advent mood is guaranteed throughout all four weekends at the hotel and restaurant Mayer’s Waldhorn. You can look forward to a festively decorated house, the lovely scent of fir, delicious punch, and our special venison and goose events. The Christmas markets in Stuttgart, Reutlingen and Tübingen are especially nice. Looking back on more than 300 years of tradition and offering an attractive range of products, the Stuttgart’s Christmas market is one of the most glamorous examples in all of Europe. The festively lid city center with its medieval castle, the towers of the collegiate church and the marvelous Baroque style of the New Palace – this is the beautiful background of the Christmas market in Stuttgart. Almost 100 booths presented their merchandise between 24 November and 22 December 2016 in the center of Reutling around the Marienkirche (the church), the Weibermarkt, and the Obere Wilhelmstraße. In the third Advent week, the university town of Tübingen hosts its famous Christmas market in the historic city center. Hundreds of decorated Christmas market booths blend with the beautiful half-timbered houses to create an atmosphere that is absolutely lovely.

Germany’s largest chocolate festival chocolART will take place from 5th December to 10th December 2017.
100 international first-class chocolatiers from Africa, the Americas and Europe will come to Tübingen to honor chocolate in the beautiful historic center of Tübingen. Almost 300,000 visitors will be happy about the special something they bring: countless wonderful delicacies from bite-sized chocolates to large hand-made chocolate plates. The chocolate festival gives leading chocolate manufacturers and exquisite chocolatiers the opportunity to present their noble products to enthusiastic visitors – and for visitors this is the perfect chance to experience the many nuances of chocolate and the historic center of Tübingen at the same time.
